On 8th February 2025, the "Eak Abhiyan" Campaign hosted a vibrant art exhibition and the lively "Paint Your Canvas" activity, in collaboration with Elrose Education, during the 2nd National Abacus Championship. The event beautifully blended creativity with academia, celebrating how artistic expression can go hand in hand with intellectual development. Not only was it a platform for young artists to showcase their talent, but it also helped raise funds for an important cause, making the day even more meaningful.
The exhibition itself was a visual feast. The walls were lined with a diverse range of artworks created by talented students. From bold abstracts to delicate landscapes, the variety of styles and techniques was impressive. Each artwork seemed to tell its own story, drawing attendees into the world of the artists. It was clear that these young individuals were not just exploring their creativity but were passionate about their craft. This vibrant display underscored the idea that art, like education, should be nurtured and celebrated, not just as an outlet for expression but as a critical skill that shapes young minds.
What made the event even more engaging was the active participation of the students. They didn’t just contribute their works to the exhibition but also did they took part in the live "Paint Your Canvas" activity, painting right in front of the crowd. The atmosphere was electric, as attendees watched the students create their art from scratch. It felt like a collaborative celebration of creativity, and the energy was contagious. It wasn’t just about the end product, but the experience of watching creativity unfold before our eyes. The students’ involvement made it feel like the event was a dynamic, living space for ideas and expression to flourish.
Adding a special touch to the event, Sambidhan Prasai and Tazanna Shrestha, both talented artists, gave over 40 students an extraordinary look through face painting. The colorful and imaginative designs instantly transformed them, adding a playful, artistic flair to the occasion. The face painting was a huge hit, and the students wearing their unique designs became a living, breathing part of the artwork on display, further enriching the vibrant atmosphere.
The event’s success was a true team effort. Sambidhan Prasai, the event lead, is not only an artist but also a visionary who brought the idea of the event to life. His leadership, paired with his deep understanding of art, made the event not just possible but memorable. Tazanna Shrestha, the Campaign Co-ordinator, is a gifted artist who came up with the idea for "Eak Abhiyan”, was instrumental in the coordination and flow of the event. With her passion for both art and philanthropy, she made sure everything ran smoothly. Ananta Pokharel’s photography and video work captured the spirit of the day, allowing those who couldn’t attend to experience the magic through his lens. Prashant Rai, a dedicated volunteer, played a crucial role in ensuring everything from setup to execution was handled seamlessly. The presence of Bikram Shrestha, President of NIF, was an added honor, as his extraordinary support to the team and for creative initiatives emphasized the importance of encouraging students to explore their artistic talents while excelling academically.
This collaboration with Elrose Education highlighted the shared belief in the power of holistic learning—where art and education are equally valued. The event was a reminder that fostering creativity in students is just as vital as academic achievement. By providing them with a platform to express their creative ideas, "Eak Abhiyan" encouraged the students to explore new dimensions of learning and growth.
The impact of the event went beyond just art. "Eak Abhiyan" works to raise funds by selling the artworks created during events like this, with the proceeds going toward providing internet access to foster homes. Many foster homes face the challenge of inadequate resources, and internet access is crucial in today’s world for education, communication, and connection. The funds raised will help bridge this gap, ensuring that children in foster homes have access to the tools they need to succeed academically and stay connected to the world around them. It’s a beautiful example of how art, when used thoughtfully, can contribute to a larger social purpose and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
In the end, the collaboration between "Eak Abhiyan" and Elrose Education proved to be a powerful reminder of the importance of creativity in education and the impact of collaboration. The event was not just about showcasing artistic talent but also about coming together to support a cause that uplifts and empowers young minds. Through this initiative, "Eak Abhiyan" showed that when creativity, education, and social responsibility align, they can create lasting change and shape a brighter, more inclusive future for all. The students, organizers, and attendees made this event unforgettable, proving that when we combine our passions and resources, we can create something truly special.
